How did the figures in movies change?

Change is natural

Do you remember when you were a child and you only somewhat knew what you wanted to be when you grew up? However, do you remember how you would always know what kind of superhero or character from the movies you would like to be? I am not sure why it is this way, but that is the reality. We see great figures on the screen and want to be just like them.

However, these figures have changed quite a lot throughout the time. It seemed almost impossible to have certain figures when we were kids, but now everything sort of makes sense. So, what kind of icons do we have now?

Harry Potter

Do not even try to tell me that you did not wait for your letter from Hogwarts, as it is just impossible. Pretty much all of us have wondered about the different houses and where we would go. The world of magic was just so captivating for us that wanting to have an owl as a pet seemed normal.

However, not that many young kids understand the hype about Harry Potter these days. It is weird to see how kids look at it like it is something so old and weird. I have to admit that it breaks my heart, but that is just how the world goes. I hope that one day they will value magic too.

James Bond

This is a bit of a difficult topic, as there have been over 20 Bond movies made in the last 50 years. Clearly, the difference in the characters also exists. On the other hand, we can find something in common between all of the different variations of the same agent: he is fearless, brave, and always saves the day. It is no surprise that thousands of kids wanted or might still event want the life of James Bond.

Remember the iconic scenes of Bond sitting in a casino and playing games. This is the kind of thing that makes even adults want to go to casinos and feel just like James Bond did. On the other hand, these days we have a possibility to just find a free online pokies website and do the same thing online. I have to admit that I sometimes like to feel like I am playing like the legendary agent. He somehow became the symbol of risk takers.

Wonder Woman

This is a good time for the feminists. They finally had an amazing movie which showed a female superhero. She does not need to be saved by a man anymore. Girls all around the world now can look up to someone who is fierce, smart, and independent. That is a step in the right direction for equality.

There is completely no need to feel like a prince on a white horse will just come and save you. Why? Well, you can save yourself. Such characters as Wonder Woman are a big step from the old image of women on screen where they just played the role of a pretty sidekick. No need for that anymore!
